                           Through the Looking Glass

This month’s update takes the form of a general knowledge walking quiz of

Rayleigh consisting of 30 questions.

The area covered is the High Street from Holy Trinity Church to Castle Road with a short detour along Bellingham Lane.

This quiz will test both your knowledge of local history and also your powers of observation. A number of answers can be found on the Town’s green or white heritage plaques or other equally visual signs.

Also some (but not all) of the answers can be found from the Town’s Heritage Trail Map on the Town Council Website or from the Windmill Museum or the Council Office in the Pavilion by King George’s Playing Field.

The quiz will stay on the website and if there is demand we may in future consider a photographic quiz.
