Discover Rayleigh's Hidden History

We have been planning for a while to add a detailed map of Rayleigh onto our website with various historical details.

Thanks to the expertise of Terry Joyce, who has dealt with the website design and pictures for this project, the first stage is now possible.

The Rayleigh Town Council Heritage Trail.All you need to do hold the cursor over the number for a brief description. Then click on the number and a new window will open with details of the plaque together with a photo of the site.
Alternatively click on Map and see the location of the plaques.

Later additions will include the following; Milestones and Fingerposts/Listed Buildings/Rayleigh Conservation Area/Water courses/ and much more.

We would appreciate any comments/suggestions/observations you may have to help us further enhance these details.
