The Museum has a wide range of printed material in the form of books, original typed volumes, bound magazines and newspapers, maps and pamphlets.
Most of these are relevant to Rayleigh and its surrounding area, but there are some which have a broader scope, sometimes even national in focus. Some of the material is of recent date whilst there are older reference items amongst the collection. A few of the items in the collection are unique to the Museum.
The catalogue is designed as a first point of reference and should allow any interested party sufficient information to confirm subject, general content and date (where known).
We welcome enquiries to view these materials at the Museum, but we regret that they are not available to borrow.
If you are unable to come to the Museum we may be able to offer a "look up" service, although our volunteers' time is limited and this cannot be guaranteed and may incur a cost. Please contact us regarding your requirements.
